In response to changes in third ward district in Houston, the renovation, backyard, aims to bring back the historical shared backyard typology. The relocated fences divide existing private backyard into private and common space. The wall and floor system suggest invisible property lines to respect each lot’s ownership. As an urban living space, the common space features built in counter and seating for social events.
